Dashboard Overview
Navigate your QuotrPro dashboard and understand key metrics at a glance.
Your QuotrPro dashboard is your command center for managing quotes, tracking jobs, and monitoring business performance. This tutorial walks you through every element of the dashboard so you can work efficiently from day one.

Stats Cards Overview
The top of your dashboard displays four key business metrics in card format:
- Count of quotes with status "sent" or "viewed"
- Click to jump directly to Quotes page filtered to open quotes
- Yellow/orange color indicates quotes awaiting response
- Count of jobs with status "not started" or "in progress"
- Click to navigate to Jobs page
- Blue color indicates work in progress
- Percentage of sent quotes that converted to jobs
- Calculated as: (Signed Quotes / Total Sent Quotes) × 100
- Green color indicates healthy conversion
- Total value of all signed quotes (jobs)
- Shows current month or all-time based on settings
- Green color with dollar formatting
- Stats refresh on page load
- Real-time updates when you return to dashboard
- Zero values show "0" not empty
- Click any stat card to see detailed breakdown
Pro Tip
Check your dashboard daily to monitor quote response rates. A dropping win rate might indicate pricing issues.
Loading & Empty States
Understanding different dashboard states:
- Skeleton placeholders appear while data loads
- Stats cards show animated gray bars
- Recent quotes show placeholder cards
- Usually completes in 1-2 seconds
- Welcome message displayed
- "Create Your First Quote" CTA prominent
- Guided onboarding steps shown
- Sample data not shown (real data only)
- "0" displayed for counts
- "0%" for win rate
- "$0" for revenue
- Cards remain clickable
- Red error banner if data fails to load
- "Retry" button to refresh
- Partial data may still display
- Contact support link if persistent
Quick Actions Section
The Quick Actions section provides one-click access to common tasks:
- Prominent purple button with sparkle icon
- "AI Quote" label
- Starts the AI-powered quote generation flow
- Uses 1 credit per quote
- Shows credit balance nearby
- Secondary styled button
- "Manual Quote" or "New Quote" label
- Opens traditional quote creation form
- No credits required
- Full manual control
- Hover effect with slight scale/shadow
- Click navigates to respective flow
- Disabled state if prerequisites not met
- Mobile: Buttons stack vertically
- Your credit balance shown near AI Quote
- Warning icon if balance low (< 3)
- "Buy Credits" link if zero
- Credits required for AI quotes only
Choose Quote Type
Decide between AI-powered (faster, uses credits) or Manual (free, more control).
Click the Button
Click AI Quote for photo-based estimation or Manual Quote for traditional entry.
Follow the Flow
Each button leads to its respective quote creation workflow.
AI Quote CTA Card
A prominent call-to-action card promotes the AI Quote feature:
- Gradient purple background
- Sparkle/AI icon
- "Generate quotes in minutes with AI" headline
- "Try AI Quote" button
- Below stats, above recent quotes
- Full-width on mobile
- May be dismissible after first use
- Subtle glow effect
- Button highlight
- Encourages interaction
- Always visible for users with credits
- Modified messaging if no credits
- May show special offers
- Navigates to /quotes/new/ai
- Same as clicking AI Quote button
- Tracks engagement for analytics
Recent Quotes Section
View your most recent quotes at a glance:
- Client name (primary text)
- Quote amount (formatted currency)
- Status badge (color-coded)
- Date created or sent
- AI badge if AI-generated

Pro Tip
Quotes in "Viewed" status are warm leads - follow up quickly for best conversion!

The top header contains important controls:
- QuotrPro logo (click to return to dashboard)
- Mobile: Hamburger menu icon
- Credit balance display
- Notification bell (if applicable)
- Profile avatar/menu
- Settings gear icon
- Shows current AI credit count
- Click to go to Billing page
- Warning styling when low
- "Buy" link for quick purchase
- Click avatar to open dropdown
- View Profile option

- Desktop: Full header with all elements
- Tablet: May condense some elements
- Mobile: Hamburger menu, minimal header
Keyboard Shortcuts
Speed up navigation with keyboard shortcuts:
- / - Focus search (if available)
- ? - Show keyboard shortcut help
- Esc - Close modals/menus
- g then d - Go to Dashboard
- g then q - Go to Quotes
- g then j - Go to Jobs
- g then c - Go to Clients
- g then p - Go to Profile
- n - New Quote (from dashboard)
- a - AI Quote (from dashboard)
- Press keys in sequence (g, then d)
- Works when no input is focused
- Visual indicator may flash
- Can be disabled in settings
